ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on critical thinking skills is crucial for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's ability to analyze, evaluate, and create new ideas. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence critical thinking skills. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's critical thinking abilities, (2) evaluate the integration of critical thinking activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in problem-solving and decision-making skills. A survey design is justified as it enables detailed data collection on educational impacts on critical thinking. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years from preschools in Edo State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its emphasis on critical thinking. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's critical thinking abilities, the effectiveness of critical thinking activities, and positive changes in problem-solving and decision-making skills. Recommendations included integrating critical thinking activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to foster children's critical thinking skills.
